Food is so important to get for living a life of healthiness and a live of gratitude. We tend to forget how lucky we are in life to have such an abundance of food available at any time.
Put yourself in other people`s perspective!:
Think about the places in the world where famine and hunger is a daily reality. Think that you would suddenly wake up one day and had to go to a dump to find food because you were so hungry that you just had to find something to eat and could not afford anything.
Think that you had a life where you had to fight to get to some available food. Think that you were under weight and starved. Survival were your only option. You did`nt have people available to help you and you constantly live in a fear of someone killing you or even rape you.
We are so fortunate to have food available that we complain about how the food taste! WHY? Because we have become lazy and think that everything is meant to come to us.
What is food: Source Wikipedia:
Food (la. cibus) is any substance or materials eaten or drunk to provide nutritional support for the body and/or for pleasure. It usually consists of plant oranimal origin, that contains essentialnutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals, and is ingested and assimilated by an organism to produce energy, stimulate growth, and maintain life.
Historically, people obtained food fromhunting and gathering, farming, ranching, and fishing, known as agriculture. Today, most of the food energy consumed by theworld population is supplied by the food industry operated by multinational corporations using intensive farming and industrial agriculture methods.
Food safety and food security are monitored by agencies such as the International Association for Food Protection, World Resources Institute, World Food Programme, Food and Agriculture Organization, and International Food Information Council. They address issues such as sustainability, biological diversity, climate change, nutritional economics, population growth, water supply and access to food.
The right to food is a human right derived from the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), recognizing the “right to an adequate standard of living, including adequate food”, as well as the “fundamental right to be free from hunger.”
Be grateful for not having to go and eat fast food because you don`t know how to make food or can`t afford anything else when you get out:
Today in the modern world we have the opposite problem with food. We have it in such an abundance that we think that food is some kind of therapy because we feel bad. Well what if you felt bad and did`nt have food??????
Be grateful for what you have and eat healthy and give food to those who need it the most. Don`t just throw last nights scraps eat them. Because if someone that starved every day could get some of those scraps they would probably survive for days.
Appreciate that food is available!! Food is necessary and we have an abundance and are very, very fortunate.
So give thanks for the food you got today, not necessary to god but to the universe or who you believe in 🙂
