#25 The Ability to Travel
What a fantastic day it is today the sun is shining and I am meeting fantastic people all day long. Life could not be better. Actually it could. I want to travel at least 3 months a year 🙂 I have really found out how grateful I am for the ability to travel especially when you can move your butt out of one country for 2 years.
I have been fortunate the years before this two last years I traveled at least 5-6 places a year.
I know what a fun and exciting thing it is to travel to see new cultures, meet new people make friends and eat exotic and tasty food. Travel is a lot of fun and it is my other passion beside Personal Development.
Travel is something that most people enjoy if you don’t have any fears. Being at magical places around the earth meeting passionate people in all of worlds corners is a amazing feeling. Start travelling and you will quickly find that out!
We are so fortunate today when it comes to travel. You can just jump on a Train or a Air plain and go to other places in the matter of hours. Old days it took 10 days by boat over the Atlantic Ocean now it takes under 8 hours most places between Europe and North America.
Why should we be grateful for the ability to travel?
- It is life changing.
- It makes us understand the world we live in better.
- It is fun.
- You can meet your spouse travelling.
- You can make friends for life.
- You see different ways of life and happiness.
- It energizes you.
- It can give you warmth if you live somewhere cold.
- It could cool you down if you live somewhere warm.
- It will make you happy.
- It brings out excitement.
- It is fun to see how different the landscapes are around us.
- We see new animals.
- We eat new food.
- That you can travel at all.
- It opens your mind to new possibilities.
- You can sit outside in the middle of night without freezing to death 🙂
- You can bring your family.
- You can do new things you could not do at home.
There is many many more reasons to be grateful for the ability to travel. I believe travelling is a way of expanding your current beliefs and consciousness. I have been amazed by seeing things I thought never were possible and meet people who think very different from what I thought.
I think that by staying at one place for your whole life is limiting for yourself and does not make for a exciting and fun life. Life is to short to sit around and fear to go to other places and see new things.
Why do we travel? Here is a short one from Wikipedia.
Purpose and motivation
Purpose of travel include recreation or tourism, research travel for the gathering of information, for holiday to visit people, volunteer travel for charity or, migration to begin life somewhere else, religious pilgrimages and mission trips, forbusiness trade or commuting, and other reasons, such as to obtain health care or fleeing war. Travel may occur byhuman-powered transport such as walking or bicycling, or with vehicles, such as public transport, automobiles, trainsand airplanes.
Motives to travel include relaxation, discovery and exploration, interpersonal relationships and getting to know othercultures. Travel may be local, regional, national (domestic) or international. In some countries, non-local internal travel may require an internal passport, while international travel typically requires a passport and visa. A trip may also be part of a round trip, which is a particular type of travel whereby a person moves from their usual residence to one or several locations and returns.
I think we all should travel somewhere outside of our country or province at least 2-3 times a year. For re-charging, exploring and for fun.
A informed human being is usually a more open one and they understand more what is going on all over the world:)
So plan trips you want to take and places you want to go! Make a top 100 list and share it with friends and family and motivate them to do the same.
So Be grateful for the Travels you make and understand how lucky you are to have the possibility to travel all over the world!!!
